On July 29 to August 2 this year, sixty students from historically black colleges district president of the country and universities will gather in Jackson, Mississippi for the third annual Nissan Student Government Leadership Program (NSGLP). The program will be held on the campus of Tougaloo College, will participate in nationally recognized speakers and their wisdom regarding leadership.
The Nissan program consists SGA president, a curriculum for young executives entering corporate America and developed by Nissan’s ongoing commitment to HBCUs and the world’s future leaders to highlight it. The overwhelming success of the company has once again offer this leadership experience that helps participants firmly positioned itself as a leader on campus and in their personal and professional communities prompted.
”The Nissan Student Government Leadership Program is an excellent opportunity to prepare, practical guide for School of Management. We have assembled some of the brightest minds in the country to find the program that is sensible design and a high impact on participating students,” Stephanie Valdez Streaty, “said Nissan North America Sr. Manager, Philanthropy & Diversity Communications and Team Leader for the NSGLP.
Speakers who participate in the program for 2007 is confirmed: Valerie Montgomery Rice, MD, nationally renowned educator, clinician and researcher in the field of reproductive health of women at Meharry Medical College School of Medicine, Reverend Dr. Nelson Rivers – corporate Chief Operating Officer the NAACP, Gregory Anderson, writer Hit of the No. 1 box office “Stomp the Yard” and former NSGLP corporate participants and American Idol winner Ruben Studdard.
Invitations for the program were extended to all HBCUs across the country. But only the first 60 schools returned completed forms will be accepted in any all-expenses-paid NSGLP session.
