Porsche Cayenne – All Car History Volume 10

The Porsche Cayenne is a large SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) from the German car manufacturer, Porsche. It is with a choice of petrol engines available and has five seats, five doors and four-wheel drive. The Cayenne is with both manual and automatic transmission (Tiptronic) is available gearbox. The four-wheel system can send 100 percent of engine power, in a mix between the front and rear axles. A low-range gearbox is also standard.

PORSCHE CAYENNE HISTORY

The Porsche Cayenne concept was announced in 1998 and entered into force in 2002. It was the first large family-type vehicle that Porsche had made after a long history of producing only roadsters and sports cars. The Cayenne was developed jointly with Volkswagen, which was like a sports utility vehicle with its broad line-up as a cost-sharing initiative to add. In terms of design, the Cayenne many similarities with the VW Touareg and Audi Q7

SPECIES

The Porsche Cayenne is available in five different variants. The initial model is the standard Porsche Cayenne. Next is the Cayenne S. The Cayenne GTS has followed and then there are the two top-of-the-range models, powered Cayenne Turbo and Cayenne Turbo S. All Cayenne vehicles with gasoline engines. The entry model, a 3rd 6-liter V6 (232 hp) unit. The S and GTS models 4 use 8-liter V8 engines (385 and 405 hp). The Cayenne Turbo and Turbo S models 4 use 8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine (500 hp or 550 hp).

Audi – All Car History Volume1

Audi goes back to 1899 and August Horch. Hark, when the company he founded was pushed, he started a new company called Audi in 1909, which was a Latin translation of Horch (in German: ‘Listen’). From the outset, was the policy of the company to build cars mainly for the luxury class.

Porsche History

2002 Introduction of the Porsche Cayenne also marked the unveiling of a new factory in Leipzig, Saxony, which today accounts for nearly half the annual production of Porsche.
